    Expanded in 2013, the Marshall Birth Center is the region's newest and most modern. It boasts spacious, all-private suites to keep you and your family comfortable and safe. Rooms come equipped with both a whirlpool tub and a pull-out sofa. Aromatherapy is available to relieve nausea or headaches, and our dedicated lactation consultants provide valuable breastfeeding instruction.

  • Cancer Program

    At our nationally accredited Cancer Program, you can count on expert care with a compassionate, human touch that respects both your medical and emotional needs as a human being. Our cancer-related services are in convenient locations close to you and each other, so you don't have to drive far for treatment.

  • Primary Stroke Center

    Stroke treatment at Marshall begins in our Emergency Department and Level III Trauma center and is then continued in our Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center. Patients who arrive at Marshall undergoing a possible stroke can expect comprehensive, time-sensitive stroke treatment, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, and the most current interventional medicine.

  • Surgery

    Our caring surgery staff features board-certified surgeons and nursing/clinical staff, who are highly trained in caring for all types of patients, and all stages of the surgery/procedure. We have an operating suite dedicated to providing the most advanced minimally invasive surgeries utilizing the Da Vinci robotic surgery system. Your successful outcome and comfort during your stay, whether as an outpatient or inpatient, is our utmost priority.

Our emergency department is staffed by uniquely qualified and experienced physicians, nurses, and other personnel prepared to provide exceptional care for the most critical of life’s moments. Physicians and nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, with many holding specialty certifications.

  • Emilie Riddle, MD

    Family Practice

    Dr. Riddle earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University in 2007 and completed her residency in family medicine from St Vincent’s East in Birmingham, Alabama in 2010. She specializes in women’s health while also administering joint injections and skin procedures. Professional affiliations include the American Academy of Family Physicians.

  • Katherine Milroy, MD

    Pediatrics

    Dr. Milroy received her undergraduate degree in biology from Scripps College in Claremont and graduated from medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 2005. After completing an internship in family practice, she served four years with the naval aviation community as a Flight Surgeon and later worked in the pediatric department at the Naval Hospital Oak Habour. Her clinical specialties cover from birth until age 21, including ADHD and developmental disabilities.

  • Steven Mills, MD

    Family Practice

    Dr. Mills earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean in the British West Indies. He completed two fellowships: New York’s University of Rochester in 1997 (internal medicine) and Wheeling Hospital in West Virginia in 1999 (family practice). He specializes in age management medicine, helping patients use their body’s own natural defenses to avoid conditions like hypertension and diabetes.

  • Tonantzin Rodriguez, MD

    Family Practice

    Dr. Rodriguez earned her medical degree from the UC Davis School of Medicine. Throughout her education, she received numerous academic honors, including the UC Davis Academic Medicine Award. She is a licensed family medicine physician caring for patients of all ages at Marshall Sierra Primary Medicine in Placerville.
